watched brokeback mountain with shuching last night!

i felt like crying at so many parts.... then when i was going to sleep last night, i started thinking about the film and it made me feel so depressed.

i was actually quite surprised by jake gyllenhaal cos i never really thought of him as a terribly serious actor. and it's a shame he has to settle for 'supporting actor'. but then again heath ledger was fantastic in his role...

hmmm i'm really quite impressed with ang lee (or is it lee ang? i'm confused which is his surname again?) for a chinese guy to film something so american and make it so amazing. if you contrast this with whatshisname, the geisha director... gosh memoirs of a geisha was a really terrible show. if i ever watch it again (which i doubt since it was a waste of a perfectly good evening) it'll have to be with subtitles and a large pot of coffee.
