oh no bird's entry really made me feel very sad for her.... didnt it?? anyway...
i don't think medicine really has financial benefits... sucks to those who want to be a doctor cos of money. i think that's a really lousy excuse for becoming one. and i'd be seriously worried if i were your patient. if you really want to earn money go do business and go on some money-spinning venture. hah i remember gan saying how a doctor's hourly rate is less than a worker in mcdonald's. so yeah think about it (although i hardly think i'm going to change anybody's opinion)
and i do sort of miss school. no not the people. more like how structured life in school was. see there are lectures, tutorials, cca programmes, fixed breaks etc. working is weird (or maybe just my experience) you sometimes know where you have to be at certain times but you can't always be sure, you don't know how long a ward round is, when you can have lunch (!).... i dunno. i think i'm a bit of a baby.
oh and bird the chao1 ji2 smart guy was only at ucl for clinical so he doesn't know what pre-clinical interviews are like. the website i linked has quesitons i think... you just have to sift through lots of shit. heehee and told my parents about the 'QUID' and they think you're very funny! :D
hmmm so today i followed a tutorial in the morning. no goo goo boys leh. heh going for another one after lunch so hopefully there will be. the students all seem so serious... they hardly talk to each other. well. then going to join another doctor in his clinic. tmr i'm free and easy... probably work on data. and monday i get to go to the emergency department! should be pretty cool. crap it's so cold in the office my fingers are gonna freeze right off my hand.......
