i have decided.

NUS Medicine. that's it. enough of moping and worrying and thinking and crying (i know, how silly i must seem.), it's settled. today i sent an email to A*STAR, but before that, being the kiasu berger i am (haha, ymw will know.), i made sure i accepted NUS med first. i've thought long and hard about it, and i think the desire to do medicine is greater than that to go overseas (LONDON CAN?!). i guess i was temporarily distracted by the prospect of going overseas on a fully govt funded education (plus alot of allowance and oh, the IDEA OF WEARING WINTER CLOTHES! i love winter wear. and boots and hats and coats....) i think, i'd actually made my decision long ago, but i was just insecure and afraid and reluctant to give up a chance to go to london (!!!!!). A*STAR is definitely good and it offers such attractive opportunities.. but no, i dont think research is for me. i guess the decision would've been much easier if i wasnt so bent on going overseas, but i'm glad i've sorted things out now and it's a huge load off my mind. i have not given up on an overseas education though, and there's still the option of doing post grad somewhere else. :) NUS med is not too bad la, it makes sense to stay here since i plan to practise here anyway and i dont have enough funds to go UCL.

plus today i read something in my email which i believe gave me some assurance. i guess it's God's answer to me, after a very very very long time. and people tell me they knew i'd choose med, even though it took quite awhile. so yes, this is it.

thank you all for putting up with all my whining the past few weeks.. i believe i've been such a "silly pokhead" (according to lizhen).

so tauhuay selling is over! it was fun stuff la, although tiring and all, but we now have some funds for our laos trip and it was all worth it :) singaporeans can be quite ridiculous and some even go to expo EVERYDAY just to look out for cheap buys. ok la, maybe they stay near there. anyway, something good that happened on saturday--i got like books (FINALLY!) from the MPH book sale!! oooooh agatha christie, i like. and some other senseless thrillers and "blink". yay yay yayyyyy.

-----------------------------------------------------

today i went out with mak to shop!! and i bought quite alot of stuff. aiya, i felt sad and i needed stuff to cheer me up! heh. so far we've covered far east to wisma. we shall conquer taka and bugis soon. i found my flood length jeans at topshop going for 69 bucks and i just had to buy it! finally mine, after so long. muahahahaha. and we got like a whole set of matching stuff from top to toe (except shoes la). i sure hope we dont wear the same stuff on the same day. mak brought me to this cool section in far east which i never knew existed and we found some really pretty earrings there. and cute shoes! really, the cutest shoes on earth. handmade and so pretty. didnt get any in the end cos i was really broke but i will go back to check out new stock! far east like the best place to shop. some parts of it.

we walked for like 5+ hours and we finally ended up at topshop. we saw dawn yang (yes, THAT blogger) and jayme ong (is that how you spell it i cant remember if its jamie or jayme)! not hanging out together la, it was just a coincidence that they happened to appear at the same place simultaneously. surprisingly, jayme ong is shorter than me. (gasp!) but still hot nonetheless. and dawn yang is so scrawny i think she'll fly if the wind blew.
