haha you won't believe this but after miss tang's party i went down to shaw to meet my parents. and i had a second dinner! haha. the food there was so good. east ocean restaurant next to les amis. this is like REAL fine dining. which posed a problem since i went there in my er... shorts and tshirt. oops. but they didn't mind. yum yum. had cold crab, lobster noodles, braised goose... really nice bing1 pi2 green tea mooncake. actually i don't think i was really full from dinner at tang lyn lyn's house even though jasho plonked like a fistful of pasta on my plate. oh well. then picked my sister up from rg's drama night. ugh ugh bad memories :( i was so sleepy by the time i reached home but i still had to drag myself into the bath. haha i used to know this girl who wasn't particular about the cleanliness of her bed so straight after school she'd jump onto her bed (shoes and all mind you). YUCKS!! that is just too disgusting for me. haha

i don't know whether i'm looking forward to the holidays. just gonna be training and com service. oh but i'm going to india in december. i hope that'll be fun. and hopefully hopefully my dad will let me and my sis go to kl in nov for..... haha

yay yay pw dry run is over. that's one hurdle. well i think it went ok. it could have been a lot worse. i had no idea when to click the ppt for haoming's bit. oops.

then lunch with shuching. and i met 2 of my seniors at guthrie. one whose name i have no clue. so embarrassing. and she came up to me and was like "hey yingmei......" er oh dear. i really can't remember how i came to know her. i reckon it was chinese society in primary school. yes i was in chinese society. one of those things that everyone is shocked about and cannot believe--- like how i was from nanyang primary. yup i always get dropped jaws and loads of "REALLY?" whenever ppl ask me where i received my basic education. so don't give me that abt chinese society. i was pretty much forced into it by my mom but then i really enjoyed it. we did lots of fun stuff at chinese society. ah the fond memories. but of course i still hated chinese. cos i sucked at it. but funnily enough, my viewpoint on chinese has changed. that's right, i've got a whole game plan set to work on my chinese. i'm going to be such a chinese culture shen2. as cheesy as it sounds, i think it's really impt to understand your background. and i mean chinese history is really something to be proud of. like who discovered america? not christopher columbus. nope. go read 1421. it's available in english.

oh anyway had a good time today. talk and talk and talk. and play guitar. i have to learn all those cool techniques guitar ppl have. then can be like mdm yeo and sing in a lounge! haha actually not really the kind of job i would want.... oh well. i think i shall watch indiana jones tonight.

something nice happened today. we went to upgrade our phones! so my mum now has the same phone as ymw. and now i have this WEIRD M1 bye bye ring ring thing for free. so i chose this funny message that has jay chou saying "zhou jie lun jiao ni qi chuang" or something like that. and he says "xiao niao" somewhere. which actually sucks but i'll have to live with it for one month cos i dont know how to deactivate that stupid thing.

went to crustacean for dessert today. yummy yummy warm chocolate cake. it is really so darn nice. haha. they've got an excellent guitarist providing entertainment there. i thought he really sounded like ryan cabrera! totally rare. his guitar playing is like so so nice. my dad was like aiyah you should learn to play like that. i wish. i have absolutely no idea how to pick/pluck like that so how to teach myself? sigh. maybe i should go for lessons. hmm i reckon if a guy can sing and play the guitar like that it ups his eligibility factor by a lot.

anyway watched kill bill vol 1 yesterday and i can't watch vol 2 cos of stupid pw :( i really wanted to watch them consecutively but alas only a rare few have such a privilege. and in case you're interested, open house was a great big disaster. hooray for my life.

anyway, open house today. got to school damn early to do sprints. and then pw. and then movie with sarabird! white chicks! hilarious. although there's hardly any plot. still nice. havent watched a movie with sarabird in a thousand years. after that we went to borders and guess what, we met ms leow there...! freaky. borders has alot of nice stuff. which are damn expensive. :( then mrt-ed back to school for training. and being the suaku and timid shit i am, i didnt dare to take to red house. and i had to call sara to check whether the train to pasir ris goes to school. (it doesnt) and i dont know if 92A goes to school. and when rj moves to bishan next year i will know how to go home! excellent.

open house tmr

yay had a nice if not tiring and expensive time with shu ching today. my phone bill this month ah... sigh. haha anyway it's always nice to spend time talking trash with her. right?

anyway, obviously tmr is open house. oh boy am i psyched about it. if you smell sunblock all around school tmr, it's probably me cos i so don't want to get chowtah tmr. haha but at least we finally get to play softball again. and of course i'm looking forward to seeing all my juniors tmr.

well i'm trying to decide whether to watch singapore idol tonight or twilight zone movie. i suppose i could always watch both. haha everytime i sit at the couch watching a show, my dad will say: aiyah ni3 zui4 xi3 huan1 kan4 dian4 shi4. [my dad v rarely speaks mandarin unless he utters this line] which is quite true. i practically grew up in front of the television watching everything and anything.

oh boy i want to watch finding neverland. looks good. and johnny depp! woot. he's got a damn cool accent in the show. scottish?

haha. ymw doesnt seem to be making much sense nowadays. been doing too much pw i guess. i'm taking a break from it.

ah, the past 2 days have been rather.. eventful. promos results: one false alarm (a very cruel one), one close brush and only one good paper. ok maybe i shouldnt complain cos i've already done better than i expected to. right.

meanwhile, we all have to do pw, pw and MORE pw. and the computer never fails to screwup whenever i need to rush out some pw shit! the printer just died on me today :)

hands up who hates PW??

argh this is such a dumb-waste-of-time subject. and it's absolutely unfair that they suddenly cram all the damn things to the 5 days after promos. not fair. i've been spending the past few days in front of the computer and i can't do anything else.

promo results back. ok i guess? except i pray like mad that i get 2 more marks from that physics question. ugh i'm not too happy with my results this time. i feel like i'm scrapping certain grades. i really ought to work harder.

had to walk home in the rain today :( how awful. then i was thinking about how nice it'll be if i had someone to walk me home everyday. no not a boyfriend but a butler will be nice. yeah he'll be called charles or bartholomew or other posho names like that and have a wicked sense of humour. and he'll wait at the school gate everyday holding a black umbrella, in a suit that all butlers wear. absolutely cruel in this heat. haha. argh i'm blabbering. i shall just go drown myself in pw now.

back from PATTAYA (not bangkok)

ok i got back yesterday but i was too tired to blog. ok this is going to be long.

so i went to pattaya. and it's called PAH-ta-ya not pa-TAH-ya. i always pronounce it the second way. so got some thai ppl a bit peeved. first day (wed) didn't do much. reached in time for the opening ceremony and got to meet thai royalty. that's right the thai princess actually spoke to me. even if it was only like 20 seconds. hmm but it was quite an experience seeing how they treat their royalty. it's like once this guy snaps his fingers, everyone has to spring out of the way and bow and curtsey to the princess. yikes i wasn't sure whether i was supposed to bow or what. oh and i think the princess didn't like me much cos i was too tall. plus with my heels. which i actually managed to walk around in. then dinner that night was really really posh. the food was good too.

thurs: went to some nong nooch garden which is this huge tourist place. a bit boring but i got to ride an elephant! haha it was mighty uncomfortable but fun. evening had really really good thai food. yummy. then attempted shopping but unsuccessful cos i don't think we went to the right place. have you heard of walking street? well that's where i went. it's what they call 'town' and a tourist attraction. unfortunately the only thing you can really buy there is sex and lapdances. it's quite er interesting. most of the people there are middle aged angmoh men with like 2 young thai girls wrapped around them. right. as i was telling zhenwei, it made me really curious what the guys did over there. yikes. the only thing that really disturbed me there was seeing angmoh men with really young thai girls. i mean like kids. maybe 13 or 14. scary right?

fri: i just stayed in the hotel cos me dad had meetings and he didn't want me wandering around the hotel which was quite deserted. anyway watched lots of tv- fear factor in thai, snowboarding championships, music videos, survivor (yay i didn't miss an episode) , malcolm in the middle (which still rocks). and read my book. man and boy. bird's recommendation. i don't think i like it. it's not my kind of book. oh well. oh of course i went swimming at the really lovely beach and got my feet a bit tanned but it's quite hard to get it to the same colour as the rest of my legs. oh well.

a banquet that night and this really weird thai guy started hitting on me. ugh i was so freaked out.
i better go. yijing has to talk. blog more later on.

ah, yingmeiwong must be enjoying herself in bangkok/thailand. sheesh i must have short term memory i cant remember where she went :( but she must still be enjoying herself anyway.

i made a feeble and failed attempt to put some music onto this blog. i was going to put "100 years" by five for fighting on but it exceeded 5mb. pity the world cant hear the piano. then i tried mcfly's "unsaid things" cos it had a part which made a direct reference to miss gorgeous legs but alas, my knowledge of html is obviously not good enough. :(

so i could only change the blogger toolbar thingy on top to brown to keep to our shit-coloured theme. (it was originally blue, if you found it too insignificant to notice)

and now i shall return to my pw, finish up the minutes and the freaking evaluation of articles crap. lilian and i have realized that we've got a thousand things to add to the file before monday. and hooray, i've got CAMP from FRIDAY TILL SUNDAY!! i'm lovin' it man!! pw is RUINING my post promos period. :(

haha! i just gave my cousin some math tuition! and i could do every question! i knew it. i'm a math genius. or maybe it's just because it's sec 3 work. :( oh well, at least she could understand what i was talking about! (i hope.) i think i should start giving math tuition to unsuspecting kids during the holidays. like teach them using some crap short cut methods even if they're wrong. and earn some money!!

ymw's damn fast! i reached home, ate some kueh lapis (with prunes!! i bet ymw's drooling), read life!, took off my contacts, came online, and i see her long entry! i bet this wont happen next year when rj moves to bishan. fabulous!

i need a life. there are so many other things to do besides mugging like hell. one more paper to go! and then i can shop all i can, sleep all i want, and watch tv the whole day long!

ymw thought that yesterday's singapore idol episode was bad. well i thought it was not too bad after all. the worst ones are still christopher-i-sang-at-zoe-tay's-wedding-lee, jerry-constipated-ong and david-weird-eyes-yeo. olinda cho and sylvester sim are still on my favourites list!

well ymw's got her whole of next week planned out nicely already. lucky pig! and being the louser i am, i'll have to make do with shopping, camping and pw. not very nice. :(

hooray promos are (nearly) over! hahaha haven't blogged in ages cos i try to avoid using the computer. but then again i don't think anybody missed my presence at all. sad.

i'm so psyched about post promos. bird and i are going out on tues! like who isn't. and we're going to have tons of fun. shopping shopping shopping.l i'm not sure about movies though cos there isn't anything really nice on unless you count gisele bundchen in taxi. so. but that's ok cos i'll save about 7 bucks and spend it on something nice instead.

and hooray for me cos i'm going to thailand next week. land of a thousand smiles is it? i could do with that. i'm going to... pattaya. if that's how you spell it. me dad's got a conference to attend so i get to go on holiday. unfortunately my mom and sister aren't going. so it's just me. ugh that sounds so depressing. i'll prob have to hang out with old people. unless there are other doctors with sad kids like me. so this holiday could go either way. i may have tons and tons of fun, shop like hell, eat bloody good food (no chicken though), get a proper tan on my feet etc. or i could just end up watching cnn or amercian football on cable in the hotel. argh pray like hell it'll be fun. and they've got banquets and ceremonies which you're expected to dress real posh for. which means i've to go look for some nice heels.

i'm sad that i missed oliver's twist today. 11 on channel 5. jamie oliver rocks. haha i really like the way he carries out the show plus he's got a cool accent/and i'm an incredible sucker for cooking shows. except yan can cook. his accent is dreadful.

things to do after promos

i think i need a break from studying bio. i think i need something to look forward to after promos. so i'm here online coming up with a list of things to do after promos(in order of priority).

1. birthday presents. all the overdue ones.
2. shopping!! and maybe a movie?
3. sleeping. i believe i'll be very deprived of this by friday.
4. get a haircut.
5. get a new phone. if my dad allows.
6. physics skill whatever thing.
8. pw.

eating is not on the list because it'll be a constant thing.

ah, 2 weeks and 5 papers to go. i can do it.
