guess what, i actually managed to wake up at 2.45 am today to watch THE match. and what the hell, i was utterly disappointed, i would've been better off sleeping. the germans were SO unimpressive, no one would have believed that they were 2002 world cup finalists. sheesh. they had a MILLION chances to get that ball into the net but they screwed up big time. and ballack is good but that miss was DAMN TRAGIC.

i must be super out of touch with german football, when was kuranyi on the team. they should sack that shithead of a guy. he's just a crazy guy who hallucinates about people pulling his shirt when he fails to deliver results. whatever to him! and what took them so long to get klose on the field man, did they expect him to perform a miracle in the last 5 minutes or what?! ee bird why do you support germany? actually i don't quite care for football. i did follow the world cup but getting up at 2 in the morning for euro is not quite worth it. plus i haven't got cable. poop. the only team i bother with at all is spain and whoops! they're out already. my sister was devastated... i much prefer tennis...

i spent my evenings in penang watching the tennis nottingham open. and bird now i know why they do splits all over the courts! haha srichapan is damn zai... monster! and he won of course. oh and watched japanese baseball league too. although it was kind of boring cos either the pitcher kept giving walks or the players kept striking out.

what to do in penang... eat of course!

got home last night from yet another eating holiday. we ate so much i didn't even have time to tan properly and i didn't get to shop! horrors of horrors... but never mind the food more than made up for it!! woohoo. i love penang fried kway teow!! yum yum yum. let's give a brief account here...

stayed at the rasa sayang resort which is really cool. the pool was nice though the amount of cellulite you see there is definitely not healthy. and you see such strange ppl too. there was this one lady who was so decked out, eyeliner thick mascara extra shiny lipgloss big silver hoop earrings, just to go swimming! she was having a bit of trouble at the deep end cos she was attempting to keep her head above the water.... hahahahahahaha. sucker.

if you ever go to penang just for the weekend and haven't got time to try all the famous food stalls, just go to lorong selamat. the food there is just gorgeous. 7 of us (my parents me two sisters and my grandparents) went through this for luch:
1. 5 plates of penang char kway teow
2. 4 bowls of hokkien prawn mee
3. 3 bowls of kway teow teng
4. 1 large plate of fried oyster
5. 1 bowl of curry mee (which sucked though)
6. 4 popiahs
7. 4 bowls of ice kachang.

life is unpredictable. AND UNFAIR. teammate's caught some virus and was hospitalized, then a whole load of horrible things happen and now she's fighting for her life. i'm not close to her but i mean, she is my friend and it's not nice when such things happen to someone you know. i just feel so upset that such a thing has to happen to her at such a young age.

had our first pw meeting during the hols today. groan. i had to wake up so mega early cos my dad needed to be at work at 730. awful. met shuching in the canteen and all the faction ppl who were making nasty comments about me mugging at 730 in the morning. hmph.

then pw. meeting was really short. i have absolutely no idea what we're supposed to be doing during these meetings. ugh i really detest pw. after that went for breakfast at ghim moh. tau huay... yummy! my mom reckons it's good for your skin. i better eat more... then took a cab home with lianne. taxi in this hot weather is pure bliss. phew. and now i'm feeling so nice and clean and cool after my bath!

wah i'm feeling damn high from training... (i hit a ball to malaysia today!) so just want to say hey to the ppl who made my day...

coach: who's been really understanding and incredibly patient with the whole team. and of course making all of us laugh so hard at his lame jokes about eating crab and long2 yan3!

the girls who came down for training, (we had 7 today!!) i totally appreciate the attendance and all the effort you guys put in during training:
erin and jas ho: our soon-to-be pitchers who work really hard and are almost always present at every training
qui jun: the soon-to-be catcher who also tries really hard during training and doesn't give a shit about scraping her knees.
su kuen: officially the most regular attendee (besides meof course!) and improving by miles!
judith and shee hwee: put in tons of effort at each training they attend and making lots of progress. good on you!

the guys at training: definitely made training a lot better! yay had fun executing plays during machine batting. and i don't find their throws all that fast and scary anymore. i must be improving!

now i don't know how many of you actually paid money to watch this in the theatre but my sympathies go out to you man... jeez not another "argh the world is ending and it's up to a small group of ppl(usually americans) to save the world". the plot gets pretty predictable after a while. my dad and i were betting which of the crew were going to survive and in which order the others were going to snuff it. argh i still can't believe i wasted my evening watching it.

bird i don't think i ever got you to write me an autograph last year right? heck i hate writing autographs for ppl. it makes me feel so embarrassed when i look back on them. bleah.

training later... going to get deep-fried again i think. more ppl should be turning up thank goodness. my mom reckons i should try walking the longer way to school (pass jelita) ao that i don't meet any nasty slashers/flashers. haha. see if i'm up to it.

lame joke!

One day, Mr. Caterpillar decided to hitch a ride to town. As he was standing by the roadside, a family of bees came by in a little car and offered him a ride.
Gratefully, he accepted. After putting along merrily for a few kilometers, the engine sputtered and the car rolled to a halt. Without saying a word, Papa Bee alighted and urinated into the fuel intake. When he turned the starter, the engine started up, much to Mr Caterpillar's amazement!
However, he did not say a word. The car went on for quite some distance before the engine died again. This time, it was Mother Bee who urinated into the fuel intake, and again, the car started up after that. The process was then repeated again for Baby Bee.
By the time the engine died for the fourth time, the little car was only a few kilometers from town. Not wanting to appear unsophisticated, Mr Caterpillar got out of the car without a word, and started opening the fuel cap.
In a flash, Papa Bee got out of the car. "What are you doing?" asked Papa Bee.
"I'm going to piss in the fuel intake, just like you did", said Mr Caterpillar.
"Oh, no", said Papa Bee patiently, "that won't do. This car only runs on Bee Pee (BP)."

i finished reading my book! i'm really excited cos my sister's coming back next week! woohoo!!! right now the lucky bum is travelling in scotland! lucky pig. the only places i've travelled to during the hols so far is to RJC. ok that was an exaggeration but you get my point. but once she gets back, we're going to penang for a few days to eat, shop and tan our white feet! excellent! i'm going to have a nutella and banana sandwich now. yum yum yum. i need a sugar rush!!!!!!!

wah!!!!!! i totally fried during training today. we trained from 0900-1400 which is peak chowtah period. gross....... i'm at least two shades darker and my feet postively glowed when i peeled off my socks. yuck yuck yuck. when i reached school at 9 this morning i saw... nobody. in the end only me and su kuen were there. and six guys. erin came later. horrible girls... slacking!! ok not really most of them have valid reasons which is so frustrating. so obviously we combined with the guys again. i tell you training with them is so much more productive. and fielding for them is definitely more fun. unfortunately i think the feeling isn't mutual. :S oh and the damn smart pe teachers didn't come to open the cca room! so we pretty much had zero equipment until coach got bats and balls from ri. it was damn hot and i have a sneaky feeling that my sunblock doesn't help very much. not fair. i'm the only one who seems to be affected drastically by the sun. besides puee of course.

i'm pretty on schedule in terms of mugging which is a great surprise! ok actually i don't think half of what i study goes into my head but... haha and i spent a lot of time yesterday reading. current book is called chromosome 6 by robin cook. ok hang on, i am NOT a bio geek. it's a science fiction-thriller type. very CSI. it's nice although the author can be a bit luo1 suo1. and i can give the excuse that i'm revising for bio at the same time although DNA isn't in our common test. heck.

ah saw the ppl at the 3rd ccal camp today. they got a nicer lunch. poo poo. fried rice. i hope i hope they get that nasty mee goreng later. muahahahahaha.

i recall that i'm supposed to finish reading my membrane structure and function notes today. it is evident that i'm not making any progress in my attempt to mug and i'm procrastinating like mad. oh crap! this is the HOLIDAYS, for goodness sake.

yeah, i play like a girl... you got a problem with that?

training today from 1300-1830. there were so few of us. only 6/13. so coach combined guys and girls training. it's actually much more effective. the guys have damn power batting. i'm sad. :( but i bat quite well on the machine today! haha i hit a home run! against guys if i may add! sigh i'm just trying to boost my own ego. machine batting makes your batting look really powerful even if it isn't. and if you're really good you SHOULD be hitting home runs on every hit (which of course i'm not capable of) and it's damn scary fielding at third base cos they hit really hard and fast. i had to keep reminding myself not to go into a daze or risk losing my nose.

anyway here's a tip for those girls out there who desire to have hot abs, sexy arms and gorgeous legs. it's actually from coach: it is ESSENTIAL to stretch after working out. yup according to him if you stretch well after exercise you'll get really tone and not grossly muscular like certain individuals. i have no idea whether it's truly effective but margie and i are going to follow his advice and see if it works. coach is so funny. he was telling us about stretching properly so that we can all wear mini skirts and look cool. according to him, mini skirts are coming back (i thought they already were?) and are going to be oh-so-hot this season. wow coach is softball genius, fitness trainer and fashion guru all rolled into one!

common test revision is not going well and i'm feeling really depressed that i wasted my whole first week.

another reason for being high: my dad got the minolta dimage Xg at pc show today! and he bargained like mad for freebies. [there's an ugly singaporean in everyone.] anyway, it's mega cool and super fun! we went to check out the computer piano keyboard thingy at the Creative booth but i wasnt impressed. oh well. then we went to the furniture show and tried looking for a bedroom set for my brother but everything was disgusting. but i saw a nice shit coloured furniture set.

watching some tennis match on channel i now. i think it's the men's finals. anyway, one of the guys can do super pro slides. he almost looks like he's doing splits. [!!!!]

that's the production i just watched! at esplanade... theatres on the bay. yippee! it's kind of like those just for laughs performances you see on tv, this one starring 3 very funny spanish guys. it was really good. i can't do it justice by describing the performance so i'll just leave it at that. it's one of the programmes in 'flipside' which all you cultured singaporeans should know about of course :)

went walking around the esplanade. i don't care what people say about it being horrid looking and a waste of money. i think it's a really cool place. the interior design is so modern and sleek plus lots of nice restaurants(!) and i think it's a good place to introduce the arts to people. the sad part is when you see these singaporeans going to the esplanade dressed up like their going to do their weekly marketing. come on! it's a posho place. at least dress decently. oh the library there is really funky too! the interior design really rocks. i shall grab bird to go study there with me one day.... hmm maybe not this holiday though... no time. haha and they had all those silly lion statues placed around the esplanade. you know the ones 'famous' personalities in singapore were asked to personalize? yup. some look really gross i have to say. i was looking for the kueh lapis lion, but alas to no avail. pity about that.

going to start on my intensive mugging officially tomorrow. argh! wish me luck. was supposed to start tonight but harry potter is on. the first movie was really quite bad but i'm still going to waste my evening and watch it. i'm such a sucker.

whatever yingmeiwong, my dad's bringing me to the PC show at expo tomorrow and i'm going to check out the digital cameras and the creative keyboard thingy which has piano and computer keys! he thinks that i'll love it. exciting! haha you missed out another horrible thing that happened during camp.. :) but i shan't announce it here in case i traumatise you further.[which is actually my aim but i wont be THAT mean]

well, today's matches at yck can be summarised into 3 words. WHAT THE FISH. we played like shit, and no one else could have done it better. talk about positive self-talk man. well we did beat ofs again, but everything else was complete crap! we're going to do MUCh better in november, hell, hc isnt even devastatingly good.

i'm back!

oh finally camp is over!! haha you stupid bird abandoned me last night. good thing shuching was free to keep me company. well i guess now that it's over, i can look back and say that camp wasn't TOO bad... i got to know quite a few people, considering how antisocial i am, and i swear my thighs are really tone now. only three really nasty things happened (that i can remember):

1. i fell down playing floorball. :( yes i know i'm such an accident prone loser. sigh. not only was it very malu-ating and ungraceful, i've now got big angry red bruises on my knees. looks so disgusting................................

2. we played some game on the second field (as in the field that actually has grass). which as 'field' sportsmen like bird would know, has a million potholes which turn into lethal swamps after rain. yup. so i got wet and muddy. not to mention people were stepping all over my shoes. argh! my shoes are totally brown and the 'yingmeiwong' branding near the sole is ruined! talk abt defamation.

3. the food REALLY sucks. if anybody reading this is going for the second or third camp, watch out for dinner! you'll wish you had 20 packets of mints after that to get rid of the taste.

note to bird: what's with the pic of that camera? i think my dad got that but i'm not too sure cos i haven't had a chance to look at it properly. i'll bet you wish you had one... like ME! :)

i think i sound really incoherent which is not a bad thing cos it means i'm getting high! woohoo. now let me convince myself that we are good enough to thrash hc and repeat our win over ofs.

met up with lilian, mo yin and kitfei at city hall for -insert any adjective- pw today. and hu chen was at.. math olympiad. then we had a stoned discussion for 2 hours and after that, i went home for maggi mee. ok that was quite out of point but nevermind!

oh made a mistake earlier. camp started today (thurs). exciting. i hope it doesn't turn into some boot camp. i'm super unfit. anyway we did some personality test and i'm a C/S which means i'm like eric clapton! haha i'd rather choose to compare myself with einstein or leonardo da vinci. it just means i'm more analytical, precise, thorough... not to mention intellectual as well! how accurate... haha. well staying over tmr. gross...

i'm back from camp. and the school was bloody crowded with people cos the whole world was camping.

the whole group point thingy was quite..not there. but anyway we decided to name our group farm-ily. mich was the farmer cos she's the group leader and the others were animals. no points for guessing what i was. it was actually quite..spastic. we had funny bonding games and training yesterday. then we watched the hilarious video andi edited and waterboys[third time watching it].

and we woke up at FIVE THIRTY AM today, got to the track by SIX and RAN 2.4. i think i was SO semiconscious i actually cant remember running. it was not too bad since we did it in 17 min but hey, it was early in the morning and we were barely awake. went to brekz[yuck, gross spelling, i prefer the old one] for dinner and then back home.

so now i'm going to sleep.

camp on wed!

i actually seem like i'm excited about it. well i'm not. CCAL camp... yucks. it's a whole series of psycho talks apparently. can you tell i'm SO psyched up about it?? ugh but luckily i'll get to skip like half of wed for combined schools tryouts.

ah i see we have some ardent fans who just can't get enough of the drama in our (bird and me) lives. it really helps the ego. thanks a million! haha and bird i kind of miss you too! ahahahahahaha. so unlike me but yup i do miss talking abt shitty (literally) things with you.

just got back from the science centre... before anybody says anything about how it is SO passe and for kids and toddlers... let me set this straight. my cousins' ages are 2, 10, 13. they like stuff like that. i was sort of obliged to go. went to see the LOTR exhibition which honestly was exactly like the exhibit i saw in london. the newspapers were boasting abt how there were some new props in the s'pore exhibit that weren't in the others... but heck. it's the SAME. and anyway i thought the science museum in london set it up much better.

note to bird: that was a bad joke... haha but i'll give you points for trying! :)
