dont you think germany's colours are so nice? i love the colour combination. HAHA obviously i'm not a real football fan. and i dont have scv so i cant watch. so i went to watch the germany vs sweden match online, and as most of you have heard, the stupid connection DIED ON ME just when germany scored their first goal. strangely enough, i could still hear the commentator and it made me really pek cek. i mean, i want to WATCH the goal, not HEAR it. but this friday i'm going to prof's house with jasmine and sheehwee to watch the germany vs argentina match!! muaahahaha. i will not miss any goals this time!! prof and jasmean, those crazy football fans.

went for laos tuktuk outing on sunday, and we saw this gorgeous germany top for ladies at newurbanmale! alas, it costs $59.90 i think. and i thought it'd be cheaper than the germany jersey since there's obviously less cloth used and it's not like, adidas.

anyway, the point is, JULY IS COMING! and i wont mind getting a germany jersey or what! :D

bah i'm stuck in the office again. youtube takes darn long to load on this old laptop :( and somehow pandora isn't as great as i thought it was. why should my falloutboy radio be playing songs by the crazy frog whose bits are hanging out?? ew.

so today my third revision lesson turned out alright. (yesterday's lesson was a complete nightmare that almost made me swear off driving) however, still need plenty of practise if i am to pass next week. today's lesson almost never materialised though. my printed sheet said my car number was 444 and i was like "oooh bbdc has soo many cars ah?" so there i was walking up and down area C and i didn't see any bloody 444 [ooh wouldn't that ominous if 444 were your test car???]. then this other guy who looked equally lost asked if i had seen car 555. AHHHH doesn't that sound fishy? turns out we didn't even have cars for today's lesson :( but in the end they managed to arrange a car and instructor for me. my instructor was nice but i noticed he didn't shave properly. ew. it was very distracting cos when i was trying very hard to focus on what he was saying (when the car wasn't moving) i would find myself drawn to his gross unshaven chin in morbid fascination. i suddenly understood how erin could keep looking at a guy scratch his ass. hmmm.

so met erin for lunch. ate prawn mee, dented a dustbin and discussed the SEEEAAAP-ness of red wine. HAHAHA. if you ever meet erin you should ask her to say SEEEAAP for you because i think that's classic skoa. i think SEEAAP is like the best possible phrase to describe red wine. because red wine does indeed taste SEEAAP. there's no other word for the SEEAAP-ness of it. hurhur i suppose i sound quite incoherent. never mind.

my puma sneakers stink. how do you clean suede shoes?

oh and my da4 jie3 is coming home on sunday!!!!! yayyyyyy! going to malaysia next week. heh at least i won't feel so sad after failing my driving test (ooh look i'm thinking positively!)

haha this is damn funny! i used to love malcolm in the middle a lot but it got rather dry after a while...

just when i thought i was going to get over this, they just HAD to remind me. and so i read the stuff they sent. needless to say, i'm sad all over again. i dont think anyone will ever understand (except mich..) unless they were in a similar unfortunate situation.

no i am not regretting my decision and i will not. but i dont think i can get over it. no i cant.

off to church camp.

heh last night i decided to go and watch the aviva opennnn! feel the rush! hahaha it was damn cool :D thanks to my sister's friends we got to sit in the vip area. wahhh so close to the stars! before we went i asked my sister if our cheap seats meant we would hardly be able to see anything. and she said: can see the match but cannot see faces :( then we met her friends and tadaaa we could see the match AND the faces!

we reached just in time for the start of li li's match! before her match started the whole stadium was like really quiet and you could only hear the players' footsteps and the twang of their racquets. when li li started to play, all of a sudden, the spectators like came alive. hahaha SINGAPORE mahh!i thought she played quite well in the first set... unfortunately for her, in the middle of the second set, they announced the commencement of a new match. peter gade! my sister said he's the top seed. and all the people who were cheering for her got up and moved toward the court for the gade match. massive migration! heh heh i followed so i could have a look at this angmoh who has stolen the singaporean hearts!i must admit there's something quite attractive about him. not in the hottt sense but as a pro player. haha my sister and her friends= mad peter gade fan club! they were sitting in the frontest row taking pictures and screaming GO PETER! hahah so cute. most of the spectators were like that. i felt so bad for the china guy (chen yu) he was playing cos it sounded like nobody was supporting him :( anyway it was supposed to be an easy match but it turned out to be super exciting and scary! haha not good for my heart at all! i found myself holding my breath and my pee cos i didn't want to miss anything. the match was so exciting that not even the arrival of singapore badminton king could distract the peter gade spectators!dum dum dummm. i didn't spot li jia wei in the audience though. haha anyway peter gade won 2-1 so my sister went to watch ronald susilo beat the nguyen tien minh (vietnam) while i stayed to watch chen hong obliterate bjoern joppien (germany). poor german guy. seriously outclassed. he kept swearing "bullshit!" and possibly other german terms i don't recognise.

next exciting match that got everyone moving again was kenneth jonassen (denmark) vs shoji sato (japan)!(obviously the angmoh in the back is jonassen and the asian guy in red in the foreground is sato) wah it was really really really exciting :D i think sato is uber cool. he's tiny and he looks like he's perpetually on a sugar high! jumping around like a mad person the whole time. jonassen was HUGE and steady. he won in the end :( oh well. i was so happy i went! well worth the $5! :D :D

then when we were leaving the stadium, my sister suddenly screamed: "omg they're all there!!!!" haha the players were hanging around outside the stadium waiting to go back to their hotel. so being the groupies that they are, my sister and her friends dragged me to help them take photographs. gade was nowhere to be seen. UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT. haha but still they had sato and jonassen.

i spent the past 3 nights watching the television version of "Be With Me"!! i really like the story! although it's a sappy love story (and i usually steer clear of such things) and rather illogical. but it was so sad and it made me cry every episode and the story is so sweet! i think the male lead in the movie was better suited for the role though. (but the actor in the tv series is quite cute too! heee) and the little boy is still so adorable! i think i'm in love with him. :) :) :) :)



so the past week has been spent on pre-ex at swiss cottage and getting logs and settling laos stuff. i wish i were going too! haa but i hope they all have a fruitful trip there and SARABIRD, remember to buy joma!! i'm salivating already. hahahaa

i cant decide if i should stay in a hall! and i'm actually quite excited about going back to school after slacking for like 5+ months. although there'll be quite alot of dodgy people around. but oh well, some people may consider me to be weird too.

my first revision lesson this morning. first time driving in more than 2 months :S it wasn't v good. omg the pessimist in me is just screaming FAIL FAIL FAIL! :( oh dear i hope it gets better.

today was a kind of strange day cos i met 2 completely random ppl whom i thought i would never ever meet again. twilight zoneee. haha so the first guy has his test the day after me and the second guy i met failed like 3 times already! :S eeps. aiyoh this better not be A SIGN. i'm scared already.

yesterday i had a nice time training in the morning. we played scrimage. i ALMOST had to catch but then the leg guards were so short they only reached to below my knees so i couldn't. i played outfield and only went up to bat once. i cheated cos i BUNTED. heh heh. cannot blame me i haven't batted properly since.... eons ago. then went to meet shuching! ooh i got to buy those yummy kuehs. i dunno what they're called. they're about the size of my palm, shaped like cupcakes and come in pink, green, white, orange and brown. and you eat it with the orange coconut sugar. i'm in love with them. everytime i see them i have to buy them. nuh kopitiam used to sell them a long long time ago. anyway, we had a nice time eating cheesecake (yummssss) and mangoes, playing jenga and talking abt random shite. was good fun! then we went to chomp chomp and ate somemore. aiyoh i spent more than 20dollars on food yesterday afternoon. also da-baoed some satay beehooon for the parents. i was carrying all these small pink plastic bags i must have looked like some auntie. heh then on the bus ride home i met shu, of all people! ooh there must be some strange karma since i've been meeting random people everywhere.

eh somehow i found the yearbook quite unexciting leh. and i hate our softball photo. it was weird-coloured, all round ugly and you can't even see some people in the photo. see my photo is nicer righttt.

yesterday as bird mentioned, we hung out. but there's nothing ESPECIALLY interesting to talk abt. except that we got good bargains. and muah cheeeeee! haha sorry bird.

ooh today for tuition, we were discussing this really (in my opinion) funny poem about the gorgeous and large concubine, 杨贵妃 (yang2 gui4 fei1) and the obsessed emperor, 唐玄宗 (tang2 xuan2 zong1). it's called 长恨歌 (chang2 hen4 ge1) by 白居易(bai2 ju1 yi4). it's a really really really long poem. spans 3 pages in my book. haha some of the phrases written by mr 白 are pure genius! aye i shan't bother quoting cos it's really quite a drag typing in chinese on the computer. but ooh interesting tidbit. did you know (cos i didn't) that yang gui fei was originally betrothed to tang xuan zong's son?? but he fell so horribly in love with her that he devised a cunning plot to steal her. he sent her to a nunnery and after a long absence from the palace, he eventually took her back to be his wife. mannn talk about incest! haha and apparently yang gui fei had SERIOUS body odour so the dedicated emperor gave her her own hot spring to bathe in as much as possible :D hahahahah and the servants had to put fragrant flowers etc (like jasmine) in her clothes so she wouldn't stink so bad. luckily for her, she eventually started smelling of flowers, which only increased her allure. ahhh i must sound like such a freak but i'm really quite amused by this poem. i think this is only the third 唐诗 that has really interested me! but don't ask me to recite any to you. cos i can't remember the lines.

so i hung out with ymw today! we went to school to collect our certs and the yearbook (yuck!!! i never like yearbooks.) and then we went to chinatown! and checked out 3 for $10 shops. hehhh. i'm lazy to blog leh.

and sukuen ya circle line is opening in 2010!! i was counting with ymw today. haha but i get it in the last year! yeah man.
